6. TRY SHAMPOOS THAT DO NOT CONTAIN CHEMICALS
Avoid using shampoos that contain chemicals because these chemicals though give good lather are harmful to you and the environment also. So try to use shampoos with natural cleansers. Choose the shampoo that suits your hair type. Hard shampoos damage the hair by taking the moisture of the hair and leaving them dry.
7. MAKE YOUR OWN CONDITIONER
For a protein-packed conditioner, mix eggs and yogurt and rub it into your scalp. Leave on for 5 to 10 minutes, and then wash it off completely.
8. DO NOT USE COLORS AND ARTIFICIAL AGENTS
Do not use hair colors that contain hard chemicals as it may result in bleaching and thinning of hair. It may cause skin damage also. The chemicals present in the colors and the bleaching agents take away the moisture of your hair and responsible for the early greying of your hair. Try to use hair colors that contain natural products and are herbal.
9. MINIMIZE STYLE DAMAGE
Repeated styling put some serious strain on the hair.
Avoid using hair dryers frequently to give style to your hair.
Avoid crimping, perming, straightening, and curling of hair on a regular basis as they all are responsible for hair damage because overheating may damage the protein and take away all moisture of your hair thus leaving them dull and weak. Hair may prone to easy breakage.
Try not to use the tight rubber bands to tie your hair, as these will encourage the hair breakage from the follicles.
10. DO NOT BRUSH WET HAIR
Wet hair is 3 times weaker than the normal dry hair. So try, not to brush wet hair, it may cause more breakage. Towel dry your hair first and then gently detangle your hair using a wide-tooth comb. Use soft towels. Do not tie wet hair.
11. LET HAIR DRY NATURALLY
Let your hair dry naturally under a fan at room temperature if you are not in a hurry because it is the healthiest option. It may take a little longer time but your hair will be healthier in long run. Try not to use a blow dryer to dry your hair unnecessarily, it may damage your hair and make it dry. If you are in hurry then instead of using the hot dryer you can use a warm setting because it is less damaging.
12. TRIM YOUR HAIR REGULARLY
Go for trimming regularly as it helps in getting rid of dead and split ends. It encourages hair growth and maintains the health of the hair.
13. EAT HEALTHY
Give your hair the right amount of vitamins. Since hair is made up of proteins, eat a balanced diet. What you eat reflects in your hair.
14. STAY HYDRATED
Drink plenty of water or other fluids each day to keep your body hydrated. In addition, you can take fruits, soups, and vegetables which provide fluids. This keeps your body and hair hydrated and healthy.
